Edo state police command has declared wanted one Frank Ojo for the several cult killings including the murder of one Jerry Imafidon in Benin city on April 27th,2015.
It was gathered that the recent cult war in Eweka road, upper Sakponba road in Benin city, has led to the untimely death of no fewer than five youths of the community who were active members of the two warring cult groups, Ayes and Eiye Confraternities.
The Nigerian Observer gathered that trouble started on April 27th 2015 after one Jerry Imafidon, a member of Ayes confraternity was brutally murdered by members of Eiye confraternity in broad day light.
The death of Jerry Imafidon ,according to confirmed report ,eventually led to reprisal attacks in the community as aggrieved Aye Confraternity members went into every nook and cranny of the community and beyond in search of members of Eiye Confraternity .
Tension in the community heightened when Eiye members including the younger brother of a senior police officer (names witheld) in the area were brutally gunned down.
All members of the Eiye Confraternity were killed at different locations in the city , it was confirmed.
According to information made available to the Nigerian Observer, the cult war in the community has taken on a differefnt twist following the intervention of the Nigeria Police who are strongly desirous of apprehending all fleeing members involved in the cult war including a leader of the Aye confraternity, Frank Ojo who is also wanted dead or alive by members of Eiye confraternity .
This recent development ,it was gathered , has led to the arrest of many family members of the Ojo family.
Meanwhile, a statement by the police in Benin stated that a manhunt for the killer of the younger brother of the senior officer has been launched in a desperate attempt to arrest and prosecute the fleeing Frank Ojo.
The statement further stated that the command would leave nothing to chance in ensuring that Frank Ojo was arrested and brought to justice.
Confirmed reports in the community also revealed that cult members are laying siege on daily basis in order to apprehend their target Frank Ojo who they have all sworn to kill whenever he is seen around anywhere in the community or beyond.
The statement added that Frank Ojo the prime suspect in the cult war whose whereabouts is unknown has been declared wanted for the several cult killings in the community and state.
