BENIN CITY – The Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Uyi Igbe has ascribed his success in the last four years as speaker to the demystification of his office.
Igbe told newsmen in Benin City during his 50th birthday anniversary celebration that his success as the speaker in the last four years was also due to his openness, commitment and truthfulness to members.
“I have been able to tell everybody that there is nothing to the office of the speaker, Deputy Speaker and other principal offices,” he said.
According to him, “the feat that I achieved as the first speaker in Edo State to complete a four-year term without impeachment was a result of my commitment and sincerity to my colleagues”.
