BENIN CITY – The Enogie of Iguogie, in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State, H.R.H. Festus Enotiemwonmwan Aiyeki has called for harmony and peace among his subjects, assuring that he would accept everyone who may have one way or the other hurt him during his period of suspension as the Enogie.
Speaking with The Nigerian OBSERVER during the celebration to mark the reconfirmation of his Enogieship at Iguogie, he said that he was suspended by the Omo N’Oba and Chiefs in council from December 3rd 2012 – December 3rd 2014.
On why he was suspended, Enogie Aiyeki narrated the facts to this Reporter, saying: “One John Osagiede and Kingsley lied against me in the presence of the Oba of Benin.  I denied the allegation.
“The allegation was that I asked Kingsley to travel to Libya, that I will cross him over to Europe and Kingsley also said that he used to call me when he was in Libya.
“That I agreed with him (Kingsley) that he should come to Europe.  Kingsley now claimed he is the rightful person to the throne.  We are the same mother, not the same father.
Enogie Aiyeki further narrated that all what he (Kingsley) said were lies, adding that he was therefore asked to swear to seven (7) shrines and on his father’s grave.  The Enogie who was filled with emotion and joy, declared that the suspension had been lifted as he survived the oath, and reconfirmed.
“I’m the Enogie and has been given the certificate”, he declared.
He said that he was ready to accept everybody including those who hurt him, provided they come to him with clean hands.
