ILORIN- The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Kwara Command, plans to sensitise school children on the importance of discipline on the highways to reduce road crashes in the state.
The Sector Commander, Mary Wakawa, said this in an interview with newsmen in Ilorin.
“We we have made a commitment to save lives in the state.
“Let us take advantage of our time to make a great achievement. Though there are constraints but we can achieve this by reducing the road crashes by 50 per cent,” Wakawa said.
She said the corps had also been mandated to educate drivers, motorists and other members of public on the proper use of the highways.
The sector commander said the corps would also collaborate with other relevant agencies to save lives on the roads.
She urged children to always read the FRSC road signs in order to reduce road crashes and fatality rate by 50 per cent.
