AUCHI – Major petrol stations in Auchi, Etsako-West Local Government Area of Edo, are still closed for business as fuel scarcity bites harder in the area.
Reports say that major stations remain closed to customers with petrol attendants sitting idle.
Some of the affected stations are the NNPC mega station, Total, Oando, Emeseike, NIPCO and FO.
Investigation showed that black market operators now sell the product at N200 per litre as motorists scramble to purchase the product.
The Manager of Total station, Mr Sola Olajide, said his station was yet to receive the product from the Warri loading depot.“The Warri depot supplies us fuel and we have been calling them that we need fuel, but all they tell us is that there is no fuel at the depot,’’ he said.
Also speaking, the Manager of FO filling station, Mr Majek Saliu, said the station’s supply was usually from the AP depot in Benin, adding that there had been no supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
