BENIN CITY – In the spirit of the 2015 Children’s Day Celebration, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council has presented some items to the Oronsaye Orphanage in Benin City.
Presenting the items, Chairman of the union, Comrade Desmond Agbama said the NUJ decided to identify with the children of the Orphanage in the spirit of Children’s Day Celebration, as children are the future leaders in any society.
He commended Princes Kate Oronsaye of blessed memory for the legacy she left behind, and urged the children to keep their mother’s dream alive.
Comrade Agbama said the union would continue to support the orphanage in any way it can to promote, preserve and sustain the lofty ideas of the proprietress.
Receiving the items, Mr. Patrick Oronsaye expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the State Council of the NUJ for the presentation which he said would go a long way in meeting the needs of the home.
Mr. Oronsaye told the NUJ leaders that though it is difficult to fit into the big shoes of his mother with regard to the running of the home, he said they would do their best to keep the dream alive.
