AUCHI – The Legislative Arm of Etsako West Local Government Legislative Council has formally affirmed the suspension order placed on Hon. Alasa Idaro, newly Sworn-in Chairman of Etsako West Local Government, Council.
After much deliberation by Hon. Members on the Matter at plenary held on Monday 1st June 2015 and through a “yes” voice vote conducted by the leader, Hon. Abibat Yakubu, the Hon. Members affirmed the action of the Governor.
The action of the suspended Chairman of Etsako West Local Government followed section 20 (1a and b) of the Local Government law of Edo State 2000, and Amended in 2002 which empowers the Executive Governor to suspend any erring local Government Chairman in the state.
