BENIN CITY – All former Edo Youth Employment Scheme (YES) employees in government establishments have been advised to stay away from work in compliance with government decision regarding the phasing out of the scheme.
A Government Circular Letter endorsed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, enjoined Heads of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) to advise all former employees concerned in their establishment to comply with government decision.
The Heads of the MDAs were also urged to inform the former employees concerned that the Civil Service Commission has been request to take necessary steps towards conducting interview to identified those that are suitable for employment into the State Civil Service.
It also added that all MDAs are to make verifiable realistic vacancy positions in their establishments to be filled from the pool of former YES employees. The data should be submitted to the Head of Service for further necessary action.
