BENIN CITY- The Commissioner for establishment and Special Duties, Comrade Didi Adodo has revealed the preparedness of the Edo State Government to give a face lift to the Centre for Community Development Education, Benin City.
Comrade Adodo during a courtesy visit by students of the centre in Benin City assured the management, staff and student of the Centre that the state government would tackle the infrastructural decay in the Centre.
Commissioner Adodo asserted that it is the intention of government in tandem with its philosophy of development of all sectors of the economy of the state to modernize and make the centre the cynosure of all.
He promised that haven started the renovation of parts of the Centre, he would ensure that more work is done to accord it a befitting environment that is good for academic learning.
According to him, despite the economic down turn in the country, Governor Oshiomhole has been able to pay salary till date, while work is going on at various project sites.
He disclosed that in the next few weeks government  would ensure that the hostels and library of the centre attended to, saying that when the library is fixed and  the linking roof in the  hostels are worked on, the centre would become attractive to prospective students.
Promising to provide security in the centre and pledges he charged the student to be good ambassadors of the centre.
The commissioner encouraged the graduates not to forget their alma-mater, calling on them to give a helping hand towards meeting the development needs of the centre.
President of the Students Union Government, Comrade Roland Nosakhare Avanrenren thanked the Commissioner for his resourcefulness and eagerness to develop the centre.
He said the renovation of some parts of the centre within the short period. Commissioner Adodo presided over the centre is a dream to the student, management and staff.
