BENIN CITY- A renowned Pharmacist and Managing Director of Golden Berries Pharmacy Limited, Pharmacist Christopher Iyare, has indicated interest to contest for the 2016 Governorship race in Edo State, just as he has pledged a qualitative leadership devoid of sentiments, if elected as Governor for the state.
Iyare made his intention known to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER, in Benin City, yesterday. He stressed that his decision to contest for governorship position in Edo State come 2016, was enticed by the monumental developments which the state had currently experience in this present administration of Governor Oshiomhole while positing that he would build on the developmental legacies of the governor to impact positively on the lives of the people.
Pharmacist Iyare noted that governance is a collective responsibility of the people and assured that his governance would be for all purpose, especially to always make wide consultation with the experienced politicians whose qualities cannot be questioned.
He said that though he had not officially declared his intention as he was trying to reach out to those at grassroots to inform them of his aspirations, in order to solicit for their support to ensure that his dreams come true.
On the issues of a political party he would align with, Pharmacist Iyare, who is the current chairman of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Edo State, said that the platform of the party he would contest will soon be made public after he had concluded consultations with those whose democratic tenets were genuinely embraced and accepted by the people.
