Nigeria’s Super Eagles began their AFCON 2017 qualifier matches on a not too sound note having stopped Chad Republic 2-0 in one of their first Group matches.
Sacked Eagles Coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi a.k.a the Big Boss in a bid to win back the confidence of Nigerians having failed to qualify Nigeria for the last AFCON 2015 edition hosted by Equatorial Guinea, quickly introduced some hot fresh legs in that team leaving out some others who executed the job for him in past competitions.
The Super Eagles still have Egypt and Tanzania to contend with in the qualifiers
What are the chances of the Super Eagles?
Apostle Prophet Tommy Yisa Aika, founder of the Glory Church of Christ,
Benin City said the going will not be an easy ride considering the behind the scene wrong doings of those who have been managing the affairs of the Super Eagles since 2001.
According to the man of God he has been at the background working for the Super Eagles success since 2001; “I and my prayer warriors were commissioned to always fast and pray for the Super Eagles in all their outings for success but due to the greediness and self centeredness of man, those in authority (football) have refused to accord me and my prayer warriors team any recognition which of course is a sin against God. Remember the scripture says a workman is entitled to his wages. See Roman 2:6-8.
“This has continued to attract God’s wrath to the football house and its wards”.
Apostle Aika said unless these culprits retrace their steps and pay him his dues, it will never be easy with them.
Looking back to 2001 when the then Super Eagles handler Bonfere Jo abandoned the team unceremoniously with only three matches, left in the 2002 qualifier matches  prophet Aika said a Lagos based man of God told Nigerians to forget qualifying for the 2002 world cup.
“But I and my prayer warriors took a positive stand by embarking on fasting and praying to back the Eagles. That was when God began to use me to lift the Eagles and they qualified” he said.
In a revelation “God told me to build a befitting house for Him and that the Super Eagles will win their remaining matches and qualify for the 2002 world cup and that all impossible things will be possible. Instantly, I wrote a letter with my proposals attached, to the then NFA chairman Rtd Gen Dominic Oneya on 25 April 2001 and he encouraged me and my prayer warriors team to continue praying for the Eagles’ success with assurance to support my ministry financially if the Eagles qualified for the 2002 world cup.
To God be the glory, Nigeria defeated Sudan 4-0, smashed Liberia 2-0 before handing a 3 nil victory against Ghana which was the last qualifier match for the 2002 world cup.
Unfortunately, Coach Amodu Shuaibu who piloted the Super Eagles in those last three matches was dropped despite my out cry against that decision
Onigbinde was drafted in to lead the Super Eagles to the Korea/ Japan
2002 World Cup where the Eagles failed woefully.
Up till this moment the football authorities have not deemed it fit to pay me my dues. The following officials were parties deal. Major General Dominic Oneya, Rtd then NFA chairman accepted to offer me the sum of 15,000 dollars and N48,000. In 2004 in Tunisia, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi agreed to pay me 26,000 dollars which was equivalent to a player’s bonus. Incidentally, three players were sent off from Super Eagles camp in Tunisia for breaking camp rules.
The then Presidential Task Force chairman, Rotimi Amaechi also agreed to offer me N10 million if Nigeria qualified for the 2010 world cup. Prophet Aika claimed that Coach Stephen Keshi had a verbal agreement to compensate him if the Super Eagles lift the AFCON 2013 championship in South Africa.
As usual he said he and his prayer warriors went into fasting and prayer and the Super Eagles won the AFCON 2013 championship “But Keshi failed to honour our agreement, when I tried to approach him after the victory, Keshi instructed his aides to walk me out having waited for four hours in Bolton hotel Abuja. The man of God said Coach Keshi has been reaping the bad seed he has sown..
For the way forward, Apostle Prophet Aika said” Rtd Major Dominic Oneya, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, Rotimi Amaechi, and Stephen Keshi should settle him now by paying him what is due to him for his services to the Super  Eagles so that God will be happy with them once again.
