BENIN CITY-The Public Relations Officer, 4 brigades, Nigerian Army, Captain Jonah Unuakhalu said that the momentary face-off  witnessed between two military men and some operatives of Edo Police Command weekend, has been resolved amicably, in Benin City.

A military man allegedly slapped a female traffic warden for not passing their vehicle while controlling traffic at Urubi junction by Oba market road, a stone throw to Oba market police station, Benin City.

It was learnt that the unfortunate incident attracted some policemen who were said to have manhandled the two soldiers and dragged them to the nearby police station.

The arrival of other soldiers ostensibly to rescue their colleagues temporarily paralyzed commercial activities as traffic came to a halt.

Also, the spokesman for Edo Police Command DSP Stephen Onwochei said described the incident as a non-issue.

He said that the military authority went to Oba market police station and arrest their men who may have aired as alleged.

He however appealed to members of the public dent the cordial relationship between the Army and the Police Command in Edo.
