Auchi Leaders and Elders Forum (ALEF) of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has applauded the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for his phenomenal infrastructural transformation across the state.
According to the forum, after receiving the reports of the unprecedented peace and development in the state in general and Etsako in particular as championed by the Comrade governor, the forum deemed it necessary to laud the giant strides of governor Oshiomhole in all sectors of the economy
They also commended the governor for his vigorous step towards tackling the menace of Auchi flood project that has threatened the people in the community over the years, expressing optimism that with the spate of work so far, the perennial flooding will soon be a thing of the past.
This was contained in a communiqué signed by Otunba Charlton Mogaji Chairman, (the Samali of Auchi) and the deputy state chairman of APC; Alhaji Chief Mohammed Abubakar, Secretary; Alhaji Chief (Dr.) Robson Momoh, elder; Alhaji Hon Justice A. S. Abiri (rtd) elder; Alhaji Chief Jim Garuba, leader; Hon Imodu Sule, leader; Alhaji Hon Daudu Abu, leader and chairmen of wards one, two, three and four of APC in Auchi and made available to WEEKEND OBSERVER.
The forum also commended the comrade governor for his wise and timely intervention in the crisis that rocked the local government following the unexpected death in office of the former council chairman, Prince Hon Hassan Kadiri recently.
“The comrade governor’s wise and prompt intervention in ensuring that crisis triggered by late Hassan Kadiri’s untimely death in office coupled with his solomonic decision to constitute an administrative probe panel to investigate the near break down of law and order in the council and make appropriate recommendation helped immensely to douse the crisis”
The forum further acknowledged the Barr Osifo probe panel for doing a thorough job within the limited time-frame and coming out with bold recommendation to the government based on their findings without fear or favour and also thanked the governor for appointing Hon Busari Yusuf as the Acting Chairman of the council in the interim.
It also called on the Comrade Governor to pay an unscheduled visit to the general hospital in Auchi to see for himself at first hand information the dilapidated infrastructure and lack drugs at the general hospital
