Yola – The Deputy Governor of Borno, Alhaji Zanna Mustapha, has been confirmed dead.
Malam Adamu Dodo, the Public Relations Officer of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yola, who confirmed the passing away of the deputy governor to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday, said his remain was now in the hospital mortuary.
NAN learnt that the deputy governor was in Yola to attend the joint convocation ceremony of the Moddibo Adama University of Technology, Yola.
He was believed to have died of heart failure in the hotel he was lodged along barracks road in Yola.
A source at the hotel who preferred anonymity said “we had to use spare key to open his door when there was no response from him in the morning.’’
