A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Elder Macaulay Ovienria has decried the recent call by Chief Dan Orbih, Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State to the senate and House of Representatives in Abuja to impede the loan granted by World Bank to Edo State.
In a press release in Benin yesterday Elder Macaulay Ovienria stated that the action taken by Chief Dan Orbih to disrupt the proposed N14,76 loan is a disservice to Edo State.
He said the proposed loan which had already been approved by the President Mohammadu Buhari is designed for the development of the state and would be the second leg of a development policy programme.
Responding to the fear of the PDP and its Chairman that the proposed loan may not be used judiciously, Elder Ovienria declared that the previous and current development strides of the Oshiomhole’s administration are a testament to the authenticity and genuiness of his efforts.
He further urged the PDP to join hands with the state governor to build the state.
