BENIN CITY-Seven persons perished when a Toyota Haice bus rammed into a packed Iveco trailer at Uteh village along Benin-Lagos by-pass, last Wednesday.
The bus marked LAGOS EKY-733 XD was conveying passengers from Lagos when it lost control and collided with the stationary truck with registration number SMK 799 XN about 12:30 pm.
The Public Relations Officer for Edo Police Command DSP Stephen Onwochei disclosed this to our reporter, yesterday.
DSP Onwochei stated further that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) mortuary.
He gave details of the casualties as four females and three males including the driver of the passenger bus.
The police spokesman however advised drivers to drive with care during and after the ember months.
