BENIN CITY – The death has occurred in Benin City of Mrs. lmuegbeyi Odubu, mother of Edo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Kelly Odaro on behalf of the family indicated that the Late Mrs. Odubu passed on Wednesday evening at the age of 89 years.
The deceased was born into the families of Osunde and Okpogheho in Ugo Community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State.
Until her demise, the Late Octogenarian was a trader and a community leader.
The statement added that Late Mrs. lmuegbeyi Odubu was a quintessential mother who would be missed by all.
The funeral rites would be announced later.
