BENIN CITY – Wife of Edo State Governor, Mrs. Iara Oshiomhole has assured that all hands will be on deck towards improving the lives of youths and the underprivileged in the state.

Mrs. Oshiomhole was speaking yesterday in Government House while receiving a number of Non-Governmental Organization that were on a courtesy visit.

She remarked that despite the lean resources of the state, the administration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is committed and would no doubt look into the plight of the needy and find ways to support and encourage our youths to be their best.

President, Angie Epilepsy Foundation, Mrs. Angela Asemota who noted that their vision is to eradicate the stigma associated with epilepsy in Nigeria and beyond, stressed on the need to replace ignorance and fear about epilepsy with understanding and care among persons with epilepsy and their families.

She solicited support of Edo State Government though the office of the First Lady in areas of partnership and other logistics.

Similarly, leader of the delegation of Save A Soul Foundation, Idowu Maleke appealed for government support, likewise the President, Catholic Women Organization, Lady Gloria Anaedo who particularly appealed for support in area of skills acquisition.

In another engagement, a delegation from sports colony International, led by Princess Omoyemwen Adeyinka appealed to the state government for the provision of computer system and laptops for training, as well as prizes for female winners in both senior and junior categories to ensure the continued participation of female chess players in the sport.

Present at the meetings was the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Jemitola Aanena and Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Protocol, James Okoro.
