Coach Samson Siasia has called up Barcelona B defender Godwin Ekpolo as well as Nathan Oduwa from Glasgow rangers ahead of next month’s Africa U23 Nations Cup in Senegal.
Siasia has already announced a bogus 51-man list of invitees for the tournament which will serve as qualifying tournament for Rio Olympics next year.
The coach said the main objective is to build a strong Nigeria Olympic team.
“After the All Africa Games in Congo, I noticed some departments of the team that needed to be worked on, so I decided to extend my dragnet in search of players who have shown interest in playing for Nigeria in a bid to building a solid team that will be the pride of all Nigerians,” Siasia said.
The Rio qualifiers will begin on November 28 and Nigeria are drawn in Group B along with Egypt, Algeria and Mali.
