Abuja – The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi, said the Federal Government would continue to partner and collaborate with the Chinese Government especially in rail transportation.
Amaechi made the remark when the China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Gu Xiaojie visited him.
The minister praised China’s support for the federal government in the area of Infrastructure development especially of the rail lines.
Amaechi noted that although much work has been done, but Nigerians were looking forward to the completion of the project.
Amaechi, therefore solicited the collaboration of the Chinese government in ensuring the speedy completion of the rail project.
The ambassador said China had achieved a lot in the area of infrastructure development in Nigeria and would continue to do more.
Xiaojie said China was ready to partner and collaborate with Nigeria to promote industrial relations.
He expressed his country’s appreciation for the just-concluded free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.
