ENUGU: The Nigeria Police, Enugu State command have declared an identical twins, Gabriel Chukwunoso and Gabriel Tochukwu wanted over an alleged case of murder.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochi Azubike, the brothers were said to have been involved in two separate murders which led to the death of a policeman and a young Fulani cattle herder in Nimbo Uzo Ukpabi Uwani Iga in Enugu State.

The Police spokesman also called on members of the public to aid the police with information’s that will lead to the whereabouts of the suspects adding that a cash reward of N200.000 naira awaits anyone with  credible information. 

Meanwhile investigations by our crime reporter revealed that the parents of the fleeing suspects were earlier killed by Fulani cattle herders.

The NIGERIAN OBSERVER gathered that Mr. and Mrs. Gabriel were killed at the farm land by some unknown Fulani cattle herders in April 2013.

According to a source close to the Gabriel’s family, it was gathered that trouble originally broke out on October 20, 2015 when the deceased herder tried to rape one Gabriel Maria, who is said to be the younger sister of the fleeing suspects.

The source said while the deceased herder identified as Sule Sambo tried to force his way through the young girl, Gabriel Chukwunoso stormed the scene, as an altercation shortly ensured. The Fulani drawn his dagger and tried to stab Chukwunoso, and as they were dragging the dagger pierced Sambo who died on the spot.

The source also said after the death of Sule Sambo, Gabriel Chukwunoso was forced to flee for his life, as some Fulani cattle herders and Police launch a manhunt on him.

The source further said after Gabriel Chukwunoso fled has identical twin Gabriel Tochukwu was later mistook for his brother by the police due to their facial recognition and fired shots at him, while he was driving on October 31,  2015.

It was later said that Gabriel Tochukwu hit one of the police officers with his car as he fled for his life.

The whereabouts of the brothers are now unknown.
