Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo has said that Watford could have won at Chelsea but he was still delighted the team got a point in London.
“We could have gone away with the three points, but sometimes when you make mistakes you have to pay for it. We allowed Diego Costa to run behind the defence and score, but this is football and we want to keep going,” he said.
“The team really worked hard, from Gomes to the midfield and to the top with me and Troy. We really gave our best and we pushed to the last minute, so it’s a deserved point for us.
“It was a difficult game but I am happy we got a point out of here because coming to Stamford Bridge and taking a point is very good.
“The team really worked hard from the start to the finish and there’s a lot of confidence building in the team, so we want to keep going.”
