A covert operation targeting remote hotels in Benin City has invariably culminated in the arrest of 25 individuals, all of whom are males now assisting the police in its efforts to unconver the true rationale and intentions behind their alleged involvement in a contentious gathering by way of unlawful association and series of other related crimes against humanity which dates back to early November 2015.
This operation which has generated considerable public interest amongst locals, following its carefully planned strategic execution was executed across several secluded communities.
The arrests in early November 2015 were orchestrated following the viral circulation of unconfirmed reports indicative that these individuals had been secretly participating and having an unlawful gathering which expectedly had raised public concerns around morality within the local community.
The remote hotel in Benin City, which however served as the meeting point for the operation, was also the focal point of their detainment.
Following the arrest thus made, all 25 individuals confessed and gave detailed accounts of their participation in activities associated with a relatively obscure social club in their community known for its unconventional practices, including same-sex relationships.
These startling revelations further unveiled their level of involvement in such criminally unacceptable activities right up until their arrest in early November 2015.
One revelation which sent shockwaves across the community was the alleged participation of Bright Eguae, a local grassroots politician, in the activities of this particular club. The disclosure has further added to the complexity of the nature of the ongoing investigation.
In an unexpected twist of evolving development, the detained individuals also admitted to being actively engaging in same-sex practices, commonly referred to as homosexual activities, a revelation that came to the forefront following their recent apprehension by law enforcement officers at the remote hotel.
As the search for Bright Eguae continues, the police are tirelessly seeking answers to the pressing issues surrounding his alleged involvement in the practices considered by some to be sacrilegious.

The statement however said that the police in a renewed efforts to expedite action on the search for the elusive grassroots politician, urged members of the general public with useful information that could lead to his arrest to come forward.
It further added that information that would lead to the arrest of Bright Eguae will be treated with confidentiality as anyone with such information would be handsomely rewarded for their efforts.
All authorities however remain committed to bringing all individuals associated with the unwholesome events to justice while unearthing the truth in the case that has controversially entangled the community.
