THE avis, shortsighted and ignorance people might find this funny to say that God is the author of hope. Other might also ask, how can God be described as the author of hope, when he own the whole universe? You may be right but the truth is that God is hope personified and everything about him speak of hope.
If God is not the author of hope, it would be documented in the bible for us to read. Study the creation of the world to this present time. We see God demonstrate his act of hope toward mankind.
“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed Jig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
And they heard the voice of the Lord Got! walking in the garden in the cool of the day; and Adam and his wife hid themselves from presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, where art thou?
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And lie said, who told thee that thou was naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, where of I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
And the man said, the woman whom thou gayest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and l did eat.
And the Lord God said unto the woman; what is this that thou hast done? And the woman said; the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
And the Lord God said unto the serpent; because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field, upon thy belly shall thou go, and dust shall thou eat all the days of thy life.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel”. Genesis 3v6- 15.
The scriptures above unveil the benefits of hope which God through his mercies showered upon Adam and Eve and to their offsprings.
The disobedience which Adam and Eve displayed against God was enough reason to warrant their instant death, but God had hope for their future and their offspring. He rather choosed to temper mercy with justice.
To the serpent He pronounce instant judgement. He offered solution to the seed of the woman and bestow her seed with power and authority to rule and reign over Satan and his agents.
The offsprings of Adam and Eve ought to have learnt .a big lesson from their parents and depart from sin and evil against God. Their fellow brothers and sisters indulged in it often, shun his instructions, killed others at random and failed to serve God genuinely.
Instead of God to reign vegeance and destroy his creature, He gave man a choice to either serve him and reign with him in heaven or serve satan and spend the rest of their life in eternity with Satan and his agents.
His hope for a better future over us led to his patience over man’s atrocity towards his neighbour.
If you were God that has power to kill and make alive, will you have watched your creature mock you in the face, disobey your instruction at random, disregard your mercy and destroy your properties?
None can equate His love, hope and mercy towards His creation. That is why He remains God and earns our Honour and loyalty.
.1 pity people who easily loose hope over their children whenever they fail to meet up their expectations. What have you lost in the past or now that makes you contemplate to commit suicide, close down your business, divorce your wife or husband and give up in your undertakings?
Your hope in God and your better future is the key to your safety, protection, provision and longevity of life. Be inspired by God and benefit of hope to determine what you say and do.

Hope Of Our Fathers
Our fore-fathers, though affected by famine, sickness, pain, fear and constant battles by their enemies, did not relent in their hope for a blissful future for their generation and the generation yet unborn.
Through hope they conquered fear, sickness, famine and their enemies. Hope of our fathers can never be over-emphasized. This is to say that they eat with hope in mind for a better meal. Often times they wondered in the wilderness without trade, farming, no industry or supermarket to complement God’s effort. With their constant hope and trust in God, they were fed supernaturally.
There were no record of any pharmacy or hospital to treat the ailing ones in their midst, but with their constant hope for a divine healing, they enjoyed divine health and longevity of life.
There were no record of any fashion industries, but history has it that the only garment they wore out of Egypt remained in their body for over forty years without fading out.
Through constant hope in God they fought their enemies with their bare hands and overcame them. Others through hope in God embanked o a major battle with their enemies through praises and worship. They subdued their enemies and took their land; wealth and inherited their wives and children.
“And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi.
And the woman conceived, and bare a son, and when size saw him that lie was a goodly child, size hid him three months.
And when she could no longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitchy, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by river’s brink.
And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river, and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
And when she had opened it, she saw the child; and, behold the babe wept. And she had compassion on him; and said, this is one of the Hebrew children.
Then said his sister to Pharaoh‘s daughter, shall I go and call to thee a nurse o the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee?
And Pharaoh ‘s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother.
And Pharaoh ‘s daughter said unto her, take this child away, and nurse it for me, and! will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed.
And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh ‘s daughter, and he became her son.
And she called his name Moses, and said, because 1 drew him out of the water. “Exodus 1v22 and Exodus 2v1-lO.
From the above scriptures you could see that it was the brighter hope Moses’ mother saw ahead of her child that made her to defile Pharaoh’s instruction to kill her child.
Through determination and hope to see her child growing strong and great, she hid him refused to carry out Pharaoh’s instruction. Even when she took the child to the river after three months, she made an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it, with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein. She laid it in the flags by the river’s brink and ordered her sister to watch it.
Friends, can you see what benefit of hope can do for a woman? Other women who heard the same instructions from Pharaoh took their male children as soon as they were born and threw them into the river.
