14th January 2016 was a black day for residents of Urhunwon Road Area of Egor as some members of a dreaded cult group, Neo Black Movement also known as “Ayes” struck in the morning in search of one Osagie Nosakhare resident at No. 5, Aghosakue Street, Off Urhunwon Road, in Egor Community.
It was gathered that the cultists in their numbers stormed the house about 9:00am in search of the said Osagie Nosakhare whose identity as a cultist or member of a rival cult group was unknown before this attack.
According to information made available to the Nigerian Observer, the cultists forced their way into the house by breaking into the house demanding to see Osagie Nosakhare.
A member of the community who spoke on condition of anonymity said that unknown to the cultists Osagie was not at home when they stormed the house but his brother Osahenni Nosakhare was washing clothes at the back of the house. He narrowly escaped death as he scaled the fence and ran away when he heard shouts of “Osagie we know you are inside come out or else if we come for you ,you are a dead man”
It was learned that the cultists, who brandished dangerous weapons from guns , machetes to axes shot several gunshots into the air sporadically chanting “Osagie we know you are inside come out, else if we come for you, you are a dead man.” All other occupants of house No.5 including neigbhours in the community scampered for safety.
In frustration at not finding Osagie, the cultists, destroyed parts of the house with axes. Leaving behind not just an empty and damaged house, also a deserted community.
As at the time of writing this report, the whereabouts of Osagie and his brother Osahenni Nosakhare is still unknown. The house is still deserted as both the tenants and family members have not returned. Worthy of note is the threat issued by the cult members that they will be on the look out for him. knowing the antecedents of these cultists who often take revenge by killing family members when they can’t find their target, this threat is taken seriously. The few people left in the community are scared not to become victims.
