EKPERI – Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has been commended for his magnanimity in extending dividends of democracy (infrastructure development) to Ekperi land.
The president, Udaba Improvement Union (U.I.U) in Etsako Central local government area and also president, Ekperi Community Development Association (ECDA), Alhaji A.A. Abu made the commendation during a courtesy visit to H.R.H, Alhaji D.Y.E. Kanoba (JP), the Eghiegbai of Ekperi land.
He appealed to Governor Oshiomhole to consider parts of the area that have not been reached by dividends of democracy and pledged the body’s continued support to the state government.
In his response, HRH Alhaji D.Y.E. Kanoba (JP) thanked the association for the visit and urged them to continue to promote peace and development in the land.
The monarch equally advised the body on the need to continue to cooperate with the state and federal governments to attract more development to Ekperi land.
Earlier at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of U.I.U held last December 27, the body unanimously expressed implicit confidence on the president, Alhaji A.A. Abu and his executives. Also, addressing the people, the village head and the Ayomekhe of Udaba, Chief D.A. Inetape said that the president, Alhaji A.A. Abu and his team had performed creditably well and deserved continuous support of all.
