NAN correspondent who monitored the poll in Gusau recalled that the PDP issued a statement on Friday that the party would not participate in the polls.

The statement was signed by the state chairman of the party Alhaji Hassan Nasiha.

The party hinged its decision to boycott the polls on the fact that it is challenging the victory of Gov. Yari in the 2015 governorship election at the Supreme Court.

“Participating in the elections will amount to giving recognition to the leadership of the incumbent government in the state,’’ Nasiha said.
