BENIN CITY -A political stalwart in Benin city, Edo State, Osahbor Ahanor was yesterday murdered in his house by suspected political thugs, suspected to have been led by one UWadiale Michael now at large.
Investigation by the police who swung into action immediately after the news of the murdered political chieftain broke out, fingered about six persons, including UWadiale Michael.
Though, Some arrests have been made, while some were reportedly killed, the suspects numbering about six including OsamuyiWilliams, 27, Peter Momodu,31, Osazee Omohen,30, Orobosa Idehen,33, UWadiale Michael, 28, and John Okan in their confessional statement exhaunerated UWadiale Michael saying, though he was billed for the operation but he (Michael) did not participate.
Following his release and the resultant constant threat to his life on the basis that he might reveal those behind the murder, Michael it was gathered reported the matter to the police but could not get justice, as he was financially constrained to prosecute.
Checks revealed that a prominent opposition party big weight (name withheld) who was alleged to have bankrolled the operation has deployed his dragnet across the state and beyond towards apprehending Michael who it was gathered has since disappeared to unknown destination for cover.
