BENIN CITY-An enraged husband has gruesomely murdered his wife in Benin City.
The woman, Mrs Patience Ekukpe, 30 was allegedly hacked to death by her husband over unresolved matrimonial dispute.
The barbaric act occurred at 19, Oloko Street, Eyean quarters, Benin City, last Friday.
It was gathered that Mr Ekukpe Henry used a sharp cutlass to cut his wife severally on the face, arms and chest as she abandoned her to bleed to death.
The gruesome act was allegedly carried out before their little child said to have screamed helplessly throughout the evil deed.
The Spokesman, Edo State Police Command DSP Osifo Abiodun who disclosed this in Benin City, yesterday.
He said that operatives of Egba Police Station have visited the scene of crime.
DSP Osifo maintained that efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing killer husband.
