The Uhi Community and the Nigeria Police Station at Ehor, both in Uhumwode Local Government Area of Edo State, may be in for a swell time, as their un-lawful and inhuman actions have led to the disappearance of one Mr. Osakpolor Daniel, under a questionable circumstance.
When the NIGERIA OBSERVER got hint of the deelopment it swung into action with a view to unravel the circumstance surrounding Mr. Osakpolor Daniel’s disappearance and where about.
Some eye witnesses to what happened told the NIGERIA OBSERVER that trouble started when Mr. Osakpolor (Daniel’s father) passed on, in March 23, 2015.
Being the chief priest of Erunmwun – Ogbe Shrine, ‘’the Traditional Shrine of Uhi community, the people of the community immediately commenced the process of wanting Osakpolor Daniel to step into his father’s position being the elderst son and automatically becomes the Chief priest of Erunmwun Ogbe Shrine as demands by Custom.
According to our sources, Mr. Osakpolor Daniel vehemently refused to be made a chief priest because he is a strong Christian as he has since been introduced into being a Jehovah Witness by his younger sister, Blessing, whose where about is still unknown.
The NIGERIA OBSERVER also gathered that the activities of this Uhi community men also led to the un- timely death of Mr Osakpolor Daniel’s mother (Mrs Ese Osakpolor) for refusing to present her son (Daniel) to assume the position of the chief priest of Erunmwun – Ogbe Shrine.
Our Investigation further revealed that, when the insistence and onslaught against Osakpolor Daniel continued unabated, he was said to have gone to Ehor police station to report the matter where he was detained by the police on September 10th, 2015 and later released to Uhi community people on September 15th, 2015 because the police has compromised.
After about two weeks in the custody and couple with the fact that they were unable to compell him to step into his father’s traditional stool , our eye witnesses maintained that Osakpolor Daniel escaped on September 27th, 2015 and ran to northern Nigeria (Kano) to avoid being killed.
While in Kano, Osakpolor Daniel was said to have met with one Abel who arranged with him to travel outside the shores of Nigeria and in February 28th, 2016, they were said to have travelled outside of Nigeria.
When the NIGERIAN OBSERVER visited the Ehor police station to hear from the police on the matter, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge, told our reporter that the said Osakpolor Daniel was still being declared wanted by the police.
