Okene,Kogi State: An Irate Arewa Youths have callously killed a father of Suleiman Rafiuel Aluya and his wife and burning of his father house over his alleged involvement in the crisis which ensured between Christians and Arewa Muslims group in Kogi State.
It would be recalled that the Arewa Youths had on the 23rd April,2015 held a meeting at Kaduna State where they resolved to Attack the middle-belt because many of them are Christians, thereby mandating (Suleiman Rafiuel Aluya) being a member of Ez-zaki group and having many of the middle-belt people, who are Christians as his Childhood friends, he declined.
A source who spoke to confirm the incident to Crime Reporter but refused to disclose his identity said that the refusal of the said Suleiman Rafiuel Aluya never gone down well with the Arewa Muslim’s leadership, hence they mandated Arewa Youths and other to also invade Kogi State, on the 27th April 2015, but immediately, especially having involved serious threats to his life if he refused the second order, bluntly went to the broadcasting house to let the Christians be aware of the pending plans of the Arewa Muslim Youths.
The source further said that the Arewa Muslim Youths who got the wind, invade the broadcasting house and destroyed the properties with grenades and other sophisticated weapons killing four people in the process but he (Suleiman Rafiuel Aluya) narrowly escaped being killed and escaped to Benue state but later came back to Kogi State on the 11th of March 2016 and was subsequently arrested by the Police of the Kogi State, Police Command who charged him to court for allegedly creating religions crisis between the Christians and the Arewa Muslims even though it was absolutely clear he was trying to save lives.
The source added that while he was being taken to court he jumped out of the Police vehicle at the court premises and escaped, but dissatisfied with the trend the Arewa Muslim Youths went to his father’s house (Kona Aluya) killed him and his son’s wife who was pregnant before setting the house ablaze in the process with the threats to continually trailing him (Suleiman Rafiuel Aluya) to kill or arrest him to face jail-terms for life, just as he ( source)had solicited for his protection to avoid being killed unjustly over his sympathy mindset.
