Uromi:- A building was yesterday set ablaze by some local vigilante Group and some youths of Awo community in Uromi, of Edo State killing a mother and her two daughters.
It was revealed that Mr. Andrew Osagie in the company of one Mr. Omorodion Oliver robbed and killed one Osamede Ifandion on his way back from business.
It was also gathered that the gun shot attracted the Vigilante group and the youths of the community who mobilized and rushed to the scene. The robbers engaged the Vigilante group in a gun dual but the robbers escaped.
When the news of Mr. Osamede Ifandion death filtered in and Mr. Andrew Osagie fingered in the robbery attack, the youths mobilized to the house of Mr. Osagie and set it ablaze, the wife and two daughters who were trapped in the house got burnt beyond recognition.
The only survivor being his son Promise Osagie who managed to escape from the building.
The case of arson and murdered has been reported to the Police and the three bodies evacuated. Meanwhile Promise Osagies whereabout remains unknown. The stigma of being a son to an armed robber is something Promise will have to face.
The Police are on a man hunt for the robbers, Mr. Andrew Osagie and Omorodion Oliver, as well as those involved in the burning down of the building.
Those identified in the burning down of the building should be charged to court for arson and murder, to serve as a deterrent to others. People should not take laws into their hands.
