UHUMWONDE:- Some suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of two persons from Iguomo community.

Iguomo and Ikhuenbo communities both in Uhumwonde Local Government Area of Edo state have been at war with each other over boundary dispute since 1976 and recently tension started mounting in the communities following the alleged killing of two persons in a communal clash involving the two communities

The two victims whose names were given as Osamudiamen Erhumwunse and Solomon Osayi were from Iguomo. Six other victims, including a policeman sustained bullet wounds.

The youth leader of Ikhuenobo, Peter Ize identified some of the members of the vigilante group who were fingered in the clash.

The incident happened on the 25th of February 2016 and after weeks of investigation, some arrests were made, while some of the boys which includes Eboigbe Ehis, Agbama Leonard, Omonefe uyi, Ajeyan Matthew,Edokpilor Prosper, Okhide Ehimen Chris, Etinosa Osasu, Ehitoya Favour, Eseosa Darlington and Osazee Ugala are still on the run.

Since the beginning of this crisis, in 1976, several lives have been lost while properties worth millions of Naira lost. A lot of people have also been rendered homeless.

The Police have lunched a man hunt for these fleeing members of the Vigilante group and any useful information from the public will be treated with upmost secrecy
