LAGOS – The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded the Lagos State government and security agencies for the speedy rescue of the kidnapped secondary school students in Ikorodu, Lagos.
The party says the commendable rescue efforts proved the competence of the present government in governing a  complex state as Lagos as well as the massive investment the Ambode administration has made in security of life and properties in the state.
In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, the   party says that quick rescue of the kidnapped schoolgirls and the arrest of the perpetrators of that heinous crime has shown that the state is ready and prepared to deal criminality a lasting blow. It warned perpetrators of crime that the state government will not desist from making Lagos a no go area for criminals.
“We are pleased at the clinical way and manner the kidnapped schoolgirls were rescued as it shows a state practically charged to deal decisively with criminality with the precision that was on display in the rescue of the schoolgirls. We are sure that from the confession of one of the arrested perpetrators of the crime that Lagos is a no go area for criminals, that intending criminals now know that Lagos will do everything to stop and nab them in the course of their acts. We salute the kind of commitment shown by the state government, the highly motivated security agencies in the state and other relevant agencies that moved in to ensure that the kidnapped schoolgirls were rescued in record time without acceding to the criminals’ demand for ransom.
