BENIN CITY – The Edaiken ‘N Uselu, His Royal Highness, Ambassador Eheneden Erediauwa has enjoined members of Edo State House of Assembly to ensure that unity and peace reign supreme in their midst.
He made the charge when the members of Edo State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Hon. Victor Edoror paid him a courtesy visit  in his palace to felicitate with him on his new position as the Edaiken’ N Uselu.
According to the Speaker, “we are here to congratulate you on your emergence as the Edaiken N’ Uselu and as a result of the respect we have for your person and your office.
Eheneden Erediauwa in his response thanked them for coming to felicitate with him saying, “I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that members of Edo State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, have come to felicitate with me…. I am short of words with which to thank you on this gesture of yours, as you have indicated by your visit that you are solidly behind me”…
Edaiken ‘N Uselu further emphasised that the House of Assembly is too important to harbour bickerings and divisions, expressing his desire to see the House of Assembly as an Assembly for peace.
Please, please, let there be peace in the House; as you may know that my first name, Eheneden’ means peace, as such, let there be peace at all time amongst the honourable members, and such peace will radiate to other parts of Edo State.
Edaiken ‘N Uselu who also revealed that the Benin dynasty is dated back to as far back as the 12th  century, and older than the royal institution of England and as such, the State” House of Assembly  should work together to ensure that the traditional institutions and culture are not undermined by any person or group of persons.
