BENIN CITY – The Esogban of Benin Kingdom, Chief David Edebiri, yesterday, led the Management Staff of Okomu Oil Palm Plc on a solidarity visit to the Edaiken N’Uselu, His Royal Highness (Amb) Eheneden Erediauwa, in his palace.
Chief Edebiri in his address said that the management staff of Okomu Oil Plc were in the palace of Edaiken to celebrate and congratulated him for his successful official installation as the Edaiken N’Uselu, noting that he, Esogban is among of the Board of Directors.
In his remarks the Managing Director of Okomu Oil Plc, Mr. Graham Heper, thanked Edaiken N’Uselu for the great reception accorded him and his team. He said that they were in the palace of Edaiken to celebrate and congratulated him on the successful installation as the Edaiken N’Uselu, while pledging to partner with the palace to bring development to the Benin Kingdom, especially in areas of employment and corporate social responsibility which had remained the hallmark of their business success.
Speaking with The NIGERIAN OBSERVER at the palace of Edaiken N’Uselu, Mr. Hefer maintained that Benin Kingdom remained number one traditional institution in Sub-sahara Africa and indeed the world, which promotes unity, love and security in terms of business transaction.
He said that the company had enjoyed close working relationship with the traditional umpire since its privatisation in 1990, saying that it has recorded tremendous growth in its business frontiers thereby posing a bigger profit.
On his part, the Edaiken N’Uselu, His Royal Highness Eheneden Erediauwa, thanked the management staff of Okomu Oil Company for the warm visit, despite their tight schedule.
He pointed out that he was elated to see the management staff identifying with his palace at this celebration moment of historical event saying that the membership of his high ranking palace chief (Chief Edebiri) as a member of board of director had given credence to the palm oil company.
He assured the management staff of his palace assistance in promoting the company to a greater height, just as he had made case for food security for the people of the kingdom, while commending them for living up to their responsibility despite deluge of challenges occasioned by the current economic crunch which is globally.
Other members of the management staff of Okomu Oil Company included Dr.Peter Eguasa, Mr. Chris Amedu and Mr. Ikponmwosa Osunbor.
