OFUNMWEGBE—A prostitute who claimed to have invited a 27 year-old fun seeker to her room for commercial sex has been allegedly robbed at gunpoint at Ofunmwegbe town in Ovia North-East local government area of Edo State
She alleged that the supposedly Randy fellow identified as Efe approached her for sex in front of a hotel at Ofunmwegbe town also known as Okada junction on Benin-Lagos road about 11:30p.m that fateful night.
She further revealed that after they finally bargained the price for the act, she led him to a room in the hotel thinking he was a genuine costumer to be with.
The commercial sex worker added that as they entered the cosy room to unwind, the man suddenly shelved sex, pulled out a short gun with which he dispossessed the prostitute of cash and valuables.
She claimed to have soon after the robbery raised an alarm that attracted policemen and vigilante in the neighbourhood who later arrested him.
“I was sitting in front of a hotel at Ofunmwegbe town, one Efe approached me for sex.
“While we were inside the room the suspect bailed me up with a locally made pistol and robbed me.
“Immediately the suspect left the room I raised an alarm, he was arrested”. She narrated before police.
Police stated that one locally made pistol was recovered from the suspect.
Speaking with our crime reporter the suspect saints he does not know the commercial sex worker from Adams let alone approaching her for sex.
He further claimed that he was framed up as he was on a legitimate mission when he was arrested.
The commissioner of police in Edo State, Mr Chris Ezike who paraded the suspect along with 74 others stated that the suspect would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
