Benin City: An enterprising young man, Mr. Joshua Egharevba from Egor Local Government Area is reported to be in for serious trouble following the drugs he sold to a nurse which resulted in the death of one Patience Ugiagbe.
It was learnt that the nurse (name Withheld)allegedly visited the a pharmacy belonging to Mr. Joshua Egharevba for the purpose of buying tablets, Quine injection, oxytocin injection and mestrogen tablets.
It was gathered that after the successful transaction, little did Mr. Joshua Egharevba know that the end to his many years of business struggle has just began.
It was reliably gathered that the drugs bought by the nurse were used to carryout abortion in a young girl.
Mr. Joshua Egharevba trouble reportedly started when the girl in whom the abortion was carried out died a four days after the abortion took place.
According to sources, the nurse was arrested by the Police and took them (the Police) to Mr. Joshua Egharevba’s store where she said to have bought the drugs, adding that the Joshua Egharevba was arrested in the process.
The source stated that Mr. Joshua Egharevba was later released after the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria (PAN) waded into the matter.
Family of the deceased girl who expressed dissatisfaction over the way and manner the matter was handled however took another dimension to the issue as they stormed the Mr. Joshua Egharevba’s store in a mob and closed it dowm.
