The secret practice of homosexual/ heterosexual tendencies amongst youths in Nigeria has been a major source of concern for many who find the act annoyingly disgusting hence the enactment of the Same-sex prohibition act 2013 to address the evil practice in the Nigerian society to checkmate their excesses

For many in Nigeria, the signing into law the of the Same-sex prohibition act 2013 was to restore sanity in the society by bringing any violator of the act to justice in accordance with the provisions of the law.

Many youths have taken to the evil act of homosexual or lesbian practice by secretly indulging in the act by going to remote or secluded places in order avoid prying eyes from members of the public.

The fate of violators of the Same-sex prohibition act 2013 when caught in the act and apprehended is more often than none determined by mob action as often times angry youths lynch suspects of alleged homosexual practice to death before the arrival of policemen or law enforcement officers..

For Aigbe Osamuyi, an artwork and sculptural designer and his cousin Aigbe Osaze who both live in Lekki area of Lagos State, life has never been the same again for them when the secret homosexual life of Aigbe Osaze was exposed .

He was caught in the act with his lover Ojo Kehinde by his cousin Aigbe Osamuyi on May 5th, 2016.

Aigbe Osamuyi was in rude shock of his life when he returned home early enough to meet two adult males in the act of homosexual practice as he was rather feeling too sick to continue with the day’s work and was asked to go home for urgent medical attention, it was gathered.

The situation however degenerated days later when Aigbe Osamuyi was informed by neigbhours that policmen apprehended Ojo Kehinde after he was again caught in the act with another suspect and made confessional statement implicating Aigbe Osamuyi and his cousin Aigbe Osaze as his partners in the sacrilegious practice.

A source in the community who craved anonymity told journalists that the policemen swung into action and immediately came looking for Aigbe Osamuyi and his cousin after arresting Kehinde.

There are strong indications that Aigbe Osamuyi’s refusal to report the secret affair between his cousin Aigbe Osaze and Ojo Kehinde might have landed him into trouble as some considered him as being culpable in aiding and abetting criminality.

Meanwhile, recent findings in the community revealed that Aigbe Osamuyi and his cousin Aigbe Osaze are still very much at large as concerted efforts have been made by local vigilantes and the police as well as other security agencies to apprehend the wanted fleeing brothers.

It was reported that they immediately fled from the community in order to avoid being arrested and consequently prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the Same-sex prohibition act 2013 which prescribes a minimum of 10 years imprisonment upon conviction.
