The Napoli striker has been linked with a move to Anfield as the Reds boss attended Argentina’s Copa America opener against Chile, fuelling transfer speculation
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been pictured alongside Gonzalo Higuain’s brother and agent during Argentina’s Copa America victory over Chile.
The Napoli striker, who has scored 38 goals in 42 appearances this season, has been linked with moves to Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
And the sighting of Klopp next to Higuain’s brother, Nicolas, will only add more fuel to reports that the marksman could be closing in on a surprise summer switch to Anfield.
Higuain has enjoyed a stellar campaign at Napoli in which he broke a 66-year-old record by becoming the highest ever goalscorer in a single Serie A season.
The former Real Madrid man started in Argentina’s Copa America opener against Chile but did not get on the scoresheet in a 2-1 victory for Gerardo Martino’s side.
