The Kano State Police Command has declared Mr. Osamu Prince wanted in connection with a religious crisis that occurred in the Sabon Gari area of Kano on June 17, 2016.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Musa Majia, the suspect was accused of disseminating false and provocative information that reportedly triggered a violent religious conflict, resulting in multiple deaths across parts of Kano State.
Mr. Osamu Prince, described as a dark-complexioned male from Esan in Edo State, is said to be about five feet tall and fluent in both Esan and English languages.
The statement further reveals that Mr. Osamu Prince’s accomplice, Mr. Innocent Ebosele, is currently in police custody and has confessed to collaborating with Mr. Osamu Prince to promote Christianity in a predominantly Muslim community.
