Benin City- The last had not been heard in the attacks by the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram on Jehovah Witness worshippers at their Kingdom Hall in Dalaori in Kouduga local government area of Borno state.
The attack which left several worshippers dead and others injured before the sect member set the entire church ablaze. The attack was motivated by the sect policy of stamping out Christianity and western education in the Northern Nigeria.
They attack the Kingdom Hall in Dalaori because of the member evangelism drive and the way they spread their Christian doctrine in the North.
It was gathered that, one of the families that survived the February attack, Edionseri John Ikponmwosa, his pregnant wife, Berther and two children were on Evangelical mission in Kouduga local government area, in Bornu and they were in the Kingdom Hall at Dalaori, when the Boko Haram sect struck. The family were among the lucky ones that escaped the onslaught but they left with minor injuries.
It was further gathered. After the attack. Edionseri and his family hid in the resident of so of their fellow members for some time and they continued witnessing. The sect member later learnt from their informant that some member of church survived the initial attack. They struck again this time they killed other Christians and burnt down their homes.
According to source, Edionseri john Ikponmwosa and his family came back to Benin City and while in Benin he started receiving threatening calls and messages from suspected Boko Haram members. A compliant was lodged at the police station. Early this month, when the calls persisted and afraid that the sect6 member will come after him, Edionseri John Ikponmwosa escapade with his family to an unknown destination.
