ABUJA – National Assembly has announced postponement of resumption of plenaries in its two chambers, the Senate and House of Reps from September 13 to September 20.
In statement issued yesterday by
the Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori, the postponement was informed by the
need to allow Senators and Reps observe the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
The 2-paragraph statement therefore, urged Senators and House of Representatives members to comply with the new resumption date.
“This is to inform all distinguished Senators and members of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption date of both Houses in plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, 13th September, 2016 to Tuesday, 20th September, 2016.
“All distinguished Senators and honourable House members are by this notice requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday, 20th September, 2016 by 10.00am prompt”, the statement added.
