BENIN CITY-A new Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police, Mr Isaac Chinonyerem Eke, has assumed duty in Zone 5 Command Headquarters, Benin City.
He took over from AIG Adeyinka Kolawole Sodipo who has been redeployed to Force Headquarters, Abuja.
This was contained in a statement endorsed by the Zonal acting Public Relations Officer DSP Emeka Iheanacho and made available to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER in Benin City, yesterday.
While informing the general public particularly the people of Edo, Bayelsa and Delta States of the assumption, the release disclosed that, before his recent deployment, AIG Isaac Eke was in charge of Training, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
It further stated that the zonal police chief, was until his appointment, the Commissioner of Police, (CP) Ondo State, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), just as it maintained that AIG Isaac Eke is a graduate of Political Science, University of Benin, (UNIBEN).
