BENIN CITY: A funeral Mass has been held in honour of late Barr. (Mrs) Grace Onaiwu Omoigui at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Benin City the Edo State Capital.

The parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paul Enor admonished the congregation not to be afraid of death as all would die one day irrespective of position and statue in life. “Death is an experience we all are going to face anytime. It is no respecter of person and it comes to the young, old, educated, uneducated, rich and poor, it comes at anytime. When death comes knocking it does not give us time to prepare as such continue to prepare daily. Scripture told us that our life span is 70 but mama spent 83 years on earth, we would have loved her to spend more than that, but mama died due to some violent attack on her and yet our leaders tell us they are doing a lot in the area of security.

Speaking further the parish priest said madam Omoigui is a faithful catholic always at mass and saying her rosary as such call on the congregation to celebrate her life.

Philip Shuaibu, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) John Odigie Oyegun, Former EFCC Chairman Nuhu Ribadu, the Iyase of Benin Kingdom Chief Sam Igbe and other government functionaries and captains of industries.
