The house on number 15 Adesuwa Cresent , off Upper Mission Extension was yesterday gutted by fire at about 10pm in the night. Fire which started from the kitchen spread to the other parts of the house so quickly that the occupants could not salvage anything from then inferno.
The fire which Mrs. Loveth John, the daughter of the owner of the house claim to be arson, started from a gas cylinder positioned outside the kitchen but later found to be inside the kitchen disconnected and left open.
According to her, she suspects a woman who claimed to be trafficker that took her daughter Queen John Musa to Italy for prostitution. She and her family have been under threat from the woman, claiming that the daughter owes her money.
She confided in us that she has been looking for the daughter for the past two years after she ran away from one Alhaji who the father Mr. Suleman Musa wanted to force her daughter to marry. After several attempts to force their daughter to marry the said 65years old Alhaji, she ran away from home and they did not hear from her again until the trafficker showed up in their house asking her to produce the daughter or pay back the money she invested in the daughter.
She also revealed that she left her husband who hails from Etsako and a Muslim and relocated to her mothers place in Benin after the pressure for her daughter to marry the Alhaji became too much. The husband constantly beat her and children. On one occasions, the husband came with thugs to beat them up and she ended up in the hospital. After her discharge from the hospital, she left her husband and relocated. It was after he send people to bundle Queen to Alhaji house that she ran away, they didn’t hear from her for 2years until recently when the said trafficker showed up.
She is now appealing to the government to save her before the woman trafficker wipes away her family, as she threatened to do.
