Benin City – A group, The Pan Africa Federalist Movement,(PAFM), has held its inaugural general meeting in Nigeria, with a call to members to be committed and dedicated to the actualization of a united Africa.

The inaugural general meeting, held in Benin city, the Edo state capital recently, according to the group, was to “build up” the PAFM Nigeria.

The group which stressed that all members must be duly registered and possess identity cards, noted that, when Africa is united, enslavement would be terminated and the continent will experience rapid development.

In his speech, the National Coordinator, PAFM Nigeria, Umudjere Africaman, said, “PAFM Nigeria evolved to tackle the problem of Africa disunity and to ensure all Africa states are united under one federal government that can be capable of defending Africa, Africans and her resources”.

The PAFM National Coordinator who noted that no organization can survive without being financially independent, later appointed Comr Onokpita Silva as the Chief Secretary of Information and Comr Otasowie Ogbeide-Ihama as Treasurer respectively for the group.

Also speaking, the Edo state deputy coordinator, PAFM Nigeria, Aifuagbon Raymond, buttressed the need for the United Africa State, which according to him, “can be achieve when Africans agree to live in love, rather than see themselves as enemies”.

Meanwhile, the group has lend their support for thousands of Togolese calling on President Faure Gnassingbe who has been in power in since 2005, to reinstate the country’s constitution limiting terms.
