BENIN CITY-  Edo State Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki has disclosed that his administration has awarded the contract For the Construction of a General Hospital at Uhunmwode local government area to address the health care need of the people.

He made the disclosure while speaking with party faithfuls at Ehor the adminstrative headquarters of Uhumwode local government area in continuation of his thank you visit to the 18 local government area of the state.
Obaseki said he already has the design of the General Hospital and the contract for the Construction of the Hospital has been awarded.

He said statistic shows that Uhumwode was at the bottom in terms of development in the state promising to change the narrative.
“I am not happy with the level of progress in Uhumwode local government area. Why should we be the least developed in the state while we have one of the
largest land mass in the state”.

“I take personal responsibility to bring electricity to various villages in Uhumwode as well as providing potable water for the people”.
He said he has travelled to various country in Asia including Indonesia and Malaysia to woo investors to the state promising to bring a number of them to develop oil palm plantations in Uhunmwode which is his ancestal home calling on party members to organize themselves politically to move the council area forward.

State APC Chairman Anslem Ojezua commended the people for their support and vote promising them that the governor respect party supremacy and Will carry all along in his decision.

He appeal to the people to continue to support this adminstration as this adminstration have a balanced political structure on ground as such need the support of party members to succeed.

APC Chairman in Uhunmwode Hon. Harrison Oyegue thanked the governor for the developmental stride in terms of roads and other infastructural development in the state. He assured the governor of their continued support for his adminstration to deliver the dividend of democracy to the people of the state.

He brought to the attention of the governor that 43 villages have no electricity and appeal to him to help them with electricity to improve their quality of life and help them follow government activities on media.

Governor Godwin Obaseki gave five hundred thousand naira to ward ten for given the party the highest number of votes while ward eight got same amount for the highest per centage of votes.The remaining eight wards got one thousand naira each for their effort.
