Christology: Jesus the Most Faithful Man

Our Lord Jesus Christ is a Man of faith. He is a man with the highest authority. A man who merges his word with action. A man who commands and it comes to pass. In the gospel of Mark 11:11-25 Jesus demonstrated his unlimited authority over tree and other natural phenomenon. As he went to a fig tree expecting some fruits but unfortunately he could not find any. he cursed the fig tree, saying, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” When evening came they went out of the city. As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. And Peter remembered and said to him, “Master, look!
The fig tree which you cursed has withered.” And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,
‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you receive it, and you will.” Apart from faith he also told his followers another secret of prayer, which is forgiveness: “Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against any one; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” With Faith and Forgiveness there is nothing we cannot achieve in this world. The impossible shall become possible. And God’s name will be glorified forever and ever – Amen!

Prophetic Message: With or without Suffering, You must Rejoice
Followers of Christ are supposed to be the happiest people on earth. The have no reason why they must not rejoice. In his first Epistle, 1 PETER 4:7-13, St. Peter declares, “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.” By implication, no amount of suffering can take away the joy of God’s children. Children of God must surely rejoice, come rain come sunshine. Child of God, I may not know what you are passing through right now; but what I know that your suffering will lead to your gladness. As long as you are in Christ Jesus, you must surely rejoice and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Man with the Highest Authority
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Man with the highest authority. He told his followers in Matthew 28:18, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” In the gospel of Mark 11:27-33 our Lord Jesus Christ was sighted walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders came to him, and they said to him, “By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?” Jesus said to them, “I will ask you a question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. Was the baptism of John from heaven or from men? Answer me.” And they argued with one another, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ But shall we say, ‘From men’?”— they were afraid of the people, for all held that John was a real prophet. So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”Certainly, the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ came from above. He did not derive his power from any man. That is why they could not comprehend the source of his authority. Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ is so powerful. He is Mightier than the mightiest, Greater than the greatest, Bigger than the biggest and of course, Brighter than the brightest. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You shall be kept in God’s Love
God’s love is the most secured gift anyone can possess. To be under the influence of God’s love is to be well cherished and well secured. Children of God cannot exist without God’s love. hey can only survive when they are kept in God’s love. In Jude 17, 20-25 St. Jude declares, “You must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. Build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” Keeping oneself in God’s is as good as keeping oneself in the most secured place. With God’s love we have nothing to fear. And with his mercy, nobody can condemn us. Child of God, as you continue to pray in the Holy Spirit, your faith will be built up. Your life will be hidden under the banner of God’s love. The Lord will surely show you mercy and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You a Covenantal Child
Our God is a covenant keeping God. All those who are in Christ Jesus are covenantal people. Our covenant with God is sealed with the precious Blood of Christ. In Exodus 24:3-8, Moses and the Israelites entered into Blood covenant with the Most High God. He took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he dashed against the altar. Then he took the book of the covenant, and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, “All that the LORD has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.” Moses took the blood and dashed it on the people, and said, “See the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.” With this blood the Israelites were covered. They were divinely connected. Child of God, today you are not entering into covenant with any animal blood. Your covenant with the Most High God is sealed with the precious Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. With the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ you are secured and you are covered. No weapon fashioned against you shall prosper. Your blood will no longer be used as a sacrifice. The Blood of Jesus has paid your prize. You are hereby declared free in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Bread of Life
Today is Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. The gospel of Mark 14:12-16; 22-26 presents the institution of the Blessed Eucharist: “On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb is sacrificed While Jesus and his disciples were eating, he took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, and all of them drank from it. He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. Truly I tell you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.” Our Lord Jesus Christ is indeed the Blood of the New Testament. With him we don’t need any other Blood. His Blood is not just our Covenantal Blood it is also our Eucharistic Blood. Whoever eat and drink the Body and Blood of Christ will never die again. Even if you die, Jesus will surely raise you up on the last day. And his name will be glorified forever and ever – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Ultimate Heir of God’s Kingdom
Our God is the Creator of heaven and earth. He is the Master of the universe, the Universal Lord lord. Whereas His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ is the Ultimate Heir. The one who is entitled to all the things in the world. In his letter to the Colossians St. paul declares that all things were created through him and for him (Colossians 1:16).
In the gospel of Mark 12:1-12 our Lord Jesus Christ used the parable of the vineyard to describe the relationship between God the Father, who is the owner of the vineyard, and the people of the world who represent the tenants. Jesus, of course is the only Son of the Vineyard owner. After creating the world God handed the world over to man with the mandate, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it” (Genesis 1:28). Instead of becoming accountable to God through the prophets, judges whom God sent the people of the world attacked all the prophets and judges that were sent to them. Even when God finally sent his only Son with hope that they will listen to his son. They seized him and crucified him. Yet, after his resurrection Jesus became the very stone which the builders rejected which has become the head of the corner. Indeed, this was the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.” To our God be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: Your Grace and Peace shall be Multiplied
Grace is unmerited favour whereas peace has to do with harmony, calmness and tranquility. In 2 Peter 1:2-7 St. Peter offers the following prayer for God’s grace and peace upon you: “May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature.” When God’s grace and peace is multiplied, you shall experience divine power. All things that pertain to life and godliness shall be granted unto you! Through God’s grace and peace you shall escape from all corruption and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Wise and Just Leader
A wise leader utters nothing but wisdom. His speeches are full of insights and inspirations. People usually consult wise leaders before taking any major decision. They know quite well that the wise leader will never deceive or mislead them. in the gospel of Mark 12:13-17 the Pharisees and some of the Herodians came to entrap Jesus. They asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are true, and care for no man; for you do not regard the position of men but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Should we pay them, or should we not?” But knowing their hypocrisy, he said to them, “Why put me to the test? Bring me a coin, and let me look at it.” And they brought one. And he said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were amazed at him. As a wise leader Jesus did not contradict himself. He did not even fall into the trap of his enemies. He was able to answer wisely. Even his opponents were amazed. They all admired his wisdom. Child of God, as you continue to follow Christ, He will continue to inspire you. He will always direct you on what to say and what to do. He will not allow the enemies to humiliate you. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Prophetic Message: New Heaven and Earth Awaits you
We are not serving God in vain. We are hopeful! A special reward awaits for all those who serve God with sincerity and patience. In his second letter St. Peter declares, “Beloved: Wait for and hasten the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you wait for these, be zealous to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And count the forbearance of our Lord as salvation” (2 Peter 3:12-15a, 17-18) A new heaven and a new earth is the special reward for all those who serve God in faithfulness and steadfastness. Child of God, as long as you are working for the Most High God, you will not labour in vain. The Lord God will surely reward you with a new heaven and a new earth. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the God of the Living
There are so many gods in the world today but there is only One Living God. He is the Almighty God, the Omnipotent and Omniscient God. He is the Alpha and Omega; the Beginning and the End. The ocean divider and the Unshakable shaker! In the gospel of Mark 12:18-27 our Lord Jesus Christ defines the true nature of God. While addressing the issue of marriage after death Jesus told the Sadducees who wanted to know about marriage after death: “Is not this why you are wrong, that you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God? For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. And as for the dead being raised, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the bush, how God said to him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” Our God is alive! Those who worship Him are equally alive. He is indeed the God of the living and not of the dead. To Him be glory and praise both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You Possess the Spirit of Power
Fear is the worst thing that can happen to anybody. Whereas courage and power are the mark of greatness. A courageous man is a powerful man and powerful man is an influential man. In his second letter to Timothy 1:1-3, 6-12 St. Paul wrote, “I thank God whom I serve with a clear conscience, as did my fathers, when I remember you constantly in my prayers. For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands; for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” Do not be ashamed then of testifying to our Lord Jesus Christ…” Fear or the spirit of timidity is not from God. The Lord God created us to be brave. He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. We his children are lion and lioness. The Lord has clothed us with the spirit of power, of love and that of self-control. Child of God, with this spirit of power, nobody can intimidate. Nothing will ever harm you. You are covered in Jesus name – Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Master of Love
A scribe wanted to know the greatest commandment and so he came to the Master of masters, the wises Man the world has ever known; the Man with all the answers in the world. He is the only solution to people’s problems.
In the gospel of mark 12:28-34, the scribe asked “Which commandment is the first of all?” Jesus answered, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
There is no other commandment greater than these.” And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher; you have truly said that he is one, and there is no OTHER BUT HE; AND TO LOVE him with ALL the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbour as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And after that no one dared to ask him any question.” As our Lord Jesus Christ rightly said love is not just the greatest commandment it is the foundation of mutual co-existence. Without love human beings cannot live together. Love breaks every barrier. May the love of Christ remain with you both now and forevermore – Amen!

Prophetic Message: You are no more under Chains
Chain is the instrument of bondage and slavery. To be in chain is to be under bondage. In his second letter to Timothy 2:8-15 St. Paul wrote, “Beloved: Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David, as preached in my gospel, the gospel for which I am suffering and wearing chains like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which in Christ Jesus goes with eternal glory. The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him; if we endure, we shall also reign with him…” As St. Paul rightly declares, the Word of God is not under chain. Instead God’s word is the channel of freedom and liberty. As long as the word of God is not chained, children of God are not chained. Our Lord Jesus Christ has set us free. Child of God, with the living word of God, I declare you free from every yoke of bondage. I release you from every chain. And I declare you free in the name of God the Father, of the Holy Spirit – Amen!
