Benin City – The Edo Civil Society Organization (EDOCSO), a network of civil society groups in Edo state, over the weekend commended the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, for the reinstatement of the Ojuromi of Uromi, HRH Anselm Aidenojie II, who was deposed by the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

The Coordinator General of EDOCSO, Leftist Omobude Agho, who gave the commendation during the general assembly of the Organization in Benin city, also commended the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare ll for his role in the reinstatement of the Onojie.

According to Leftist Agho, governor Obaseki deserve the applaud, for listening to the appeals of well-meaning citizens of the state, especially the Uromi people who had been without their monarch since October 26, 2016 when he was deposed.

The Deputy Coordinator General of the organization, Comrade Annie Umoru, advised youths to take their health serious by going on regular medical check up and also avoid the use of illicit drugs as well as drug abuse, which she noted is fueling insecurity across the country.

Comrade Umoru however apt on the need for parents and guardians to be close to their children and wards so as to guide them on the right way to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.

Meanwhile, the bye election to fill the vacant position of treasurer earlier scheduled to hold last Saturday has been postponed to the next general assembly of the organization.

Recall the former treasurer, Comrade Hope Enogieru voluntarily resigned recently from the position to go represent his Ward in Orhiomwon local government council of Edo state.
